WATCHET were held to a 2-2 draw in their first pre-season friendly at Hutton near Weston super Mare last night (Tues).

“It was a satisfactory workout for the lads with some positives and negatives,” said Nick Sully, one of the three-man management team which includes Aaron Deeks and Matt Heywood.

Brandan Walsh scored a first half equaliser for Watchet and Cody Truscott put the visitors ahead midway through the second-half only for Hutton to get back on level terms shortly afterwards.

Watchet, who will be playing in the Uhlsport Somerset County League along with neighbours Minehead this season, have another warm-up game away to Bishops Lydeard Reserves next Tuesday, with a 6.45 p.m. kick-off.
