CHAMPIONS Bell All Stars slipped to a nine pin away defeat at the hands of Castaways in the Premier Division of the Watchet & District Skittles League, for whom Mike and Nick Lane both scored 105 while Warren Knight knocked a top of the alley 111 for the visitors.
Last season’s runners up Allsorts also succumbed to a 20 pin home defeat to newly promoted Railway Steamers whose Paul Gilpin topped the alley with 106, with Graham Rogers scoring 105 for the hosts.
A score of 100 from Rebels’ Nev Weir led them to a 34 pin home success against Has Beens who had Mark Clausen tops with 91 and Q C Guys remain pointless after losing their home match against Bottoms Up by six pins, Brandon Walsh once again leading the visitors with 111, with R Willis hitting 105 for the Guys.
An outstanding score of 120 from Phoenix Knights’ Eben Harding was not enough to prevent a 50 pin defeat at the hands of Jack, for whom Zacc Binding hit 115.
