IT WAS a high scoring night at the Bird in hand where Allsorts’ Shane Coxhead (127), Brian Bishop (126) and Graham Rogers (125) helped them amass a team total of 705 to defeat Castaways by 41 pins in the Premier Division of the Watchet & District Skittles League.
The level of defeat could have been more comprehensive but for an outstanding score from Steve Duck who now holds the highest away score with 141.
Barrie Jones scored 112 for Bell All Stars as they ran out 23 pin winners over Q C Guys whose Mike Stout hit 106. At Brompton Ralph Cricket Club Tyrone Ash topped the Three Ferrets scoring with 115 as they overcame Has Beens by four pins, Steve Allen was top of the alley with 119.
A score of 118 from both Liam Woolgrove and Brandon Jones helped Phoenix Knights to a 37 pin home success against White Horse Stallions, for whom Malcolm Bennett hit 105. Railway Steamers Shane Yaw hit the only three figure score of the night knocking 102 in the 24 pin home win over Jack, Steve Bosley and Gus Milton both scoring 94 for the visitors.
