MINEHEAD Barbarians' prop and second row Chris Govier will miss the rest of the rugby season through injury.

The club's head coach Jack Claydon said today (Wed): "Chris injured his shoulder against Old Reds at the end of January. He has been struggling with the injury and it is the lambing season. As a self-employed farmer he cannot afford to be off injured.

"He is one of the most reliable forwards we have and we will miss him."

The Babas have been hit by a spate of injuries this season, particularly to key players, and Claydon, himself, has missed most of the winter with a back problem.
