MINEHEAD face one of their toughest games of the season so far when they play away to Premier Division leaders Long Sutton in the Somerset Cricket League this afternoon (Sat).

The seasiders bounced back to form last weekend when they crushed Frome by 202 runs at home with Dan Bowditch scoring 113 not out and Braden Taylor 84 while Jack Richards took 4-15.

This victory took them up into fourth place, only 44 points behind the leaders. But with a possible 35 points at stake today things can quickly change.

Minehead began the season looking for a quick return to the Somerset Division of the West of England League, having been relegated at the end of last summer. However, after a bright start to the season they have slipped back and have to win to keep up with the top sides.

Meanwhile Wiveliscombe, who gained a fine away win over second-placed South Petherton in Division Three last weekend, entertain bottom team Churchill while Minehead 2nd XI are home to North Perrott.
