MINEHEAD, who began this season looking for a quick return to the Somerset Division of the West of England Premier League, badly need a victory at home to struggling Frome today (Sat).

Minehead lost by three wickets away to second-placed Temple Cloud in the Premier Division of the Somerset League last weekend despite scoring more than 250 runs.

They are now 44 points behind the leaders Long Sutton.

However, with 11 matches still to play, they have plenty of time in which to challenge for the championship. Frome are bottom of the table and lost by eight wickets last weekend to Lympsham & Belvedere who are themselves struggling.

Minehead 2nd X1, third in Division Three but are 58 points behind leaders Yeovil, are away to Street who are also bottom of the table.

Fourth-placed Wiveliscombe, well beaten at Taunton Deane last weekend, are away to South Petherton who are lying second.
