MINEHEAD begin their build-up to the new football season with an away match against Bishops Lydeard tomorrow evening (Tues, 7.30p.m.).

Craig Carr, who begins his second full season in charge, said today: “We’re looking forward to our first pre-season friendly. The squad will include some new faces.”

Minehead will be staging a home game against a Legends XI managed by Steve Perkins on Saturday, July 12 (3p.m.) and this will be followed by a game against Middlezoy Rovers at home next Wednesday, July 16 (7.45p.m.).

Minehead will again be playing in the first division of the Uhlsport Somerset County League where they finished a disappointing 12th last season.
