MINEHEAD have only themselves to blame for dropping two home points in a 1-1 draw against lowly Combe St Nicholas in the first division of the Uhlsport Somerset County League yesterday (Sat).

The seasiders created loads of scoring chances but failed to take them - and almost paid the penalty.

Combe took advantage of Minehead's shot-shy forwards and went ahead through Owen Ladd.

But Minehead managed to salvage a point when Stefan Phillips netted from the penalty spot right at the end.

Watchet Town also drew 1-1 away to Peasedown Miners Welfare - also in Division One - and dropped back to third in the table.

They now trail leaders Staplegrove by six points but have two matches in hand.
