MINEHEAD and Watchet Town are both out of the Somerset County League's KO Cup for premier and first division sides after losing out to opponents from the top flight.

Minehead crashed 5-1 away to former Toolstation League outfit Chard Town. Guy Burns scored Minehead's goal to make 3-1 in the second half.

Watchet Town lost 3-0 at home to slick Chilcompton Sports.

It ends hopes of a third-round tie between the two West Somerset rivals which would have been played at Watchet.

Both sides will be back in action this coming weekend with away games in the league.
