MINEHEAD will be looking to bounce back after their loss at Ashcott when they play at home to Nailsea & Tickenham Reserves in the first division of the Uhlsport Somerset County League today (Sat, 3p.m.).
Although it is early days, Minehead are lying fifth in the table following their 4-3 defeat at Ashcott.
Their opponents Nailsea are down in 11th spot, having taken five points from their opening five matches.
Minehead will be looking for all three points against the visitors to stay up with the leading bunch.
Meanwhile Watchet Town, who lost 2-0 at home tp Peasedown Miners Welfare at the Memorial Ground last weekend, are home for the third successive Saturday when they play Stockwood Green who have managed only one point from their opening five fixtures (3p.m.).
Watchet will undoubtedly be disappointed if they do not beat Stockwood, and club spokesman Nick Sully said: "Unfortunately, players missing are last week's man of the match Brandon Walsh, captain Eben Harding and Fin Landon, but Riley Willis is back after suspension.
"Last week's result was disappointing but there wasn't much in it though some our short-comings re-surfaced."
Watchet have taken three points from their three games in Division One so far and should double this if they play as well as they did last weekend.
There is a full programme of games in the Taunton, Somerset Sunday and Taunton Youth Leagues and plenty of fixtures in the Somerset Women's and Girls Leagues.
