MINEHEAD & West Somerset Hockey Club will be starting their Charity Seven-a-Side Summer League on Tuesday, July 21, on the Astro pitch at West Somerset College (7p.m.).

Matches will take place every Tuesday evening in a round-robin format with everyone playing at least one 25-minute match. Finals will be on August 25 with a social and barbeque on September 1 when new team kits will be handed out.

After previous successful Summer competitions all players of all standards are welcome to play, watch or learn. Junior sessions will take place at the same time.

After a successful 2026 season the club is on the look out for more players as two men’s teams were promoted and the Ladies look to secure their position in the Sedgemoor Division and try to gather players to field a second team.

All players, old and new, are welcome as the club tries replicate last year’s fun, and money raised for the club’s chosen charities.
