MINEHEAD put in an impressive performance on Saturday to record a 2-1 victory over fellow promotion chasers City of Bath A in Central Division Two.
After a controversial reverse fixture earlier in the season, it was sweet revenge for the home team.
Jos Bennett and Andrew Covey scored their goals and the Inspired Partnership man of the match was Chris Weetch.

It was a different story on Sunday as Minehead failed to repeat their form of the previous day and suffered their heaviest defeat of the season, 5-1 away to Weston-super-Mare, another side vying for promotion.
In a re-arranged fixture, they failed to find any kind of form and were picked off at regular intervals, with Archie Marsh scoring their consolation and James Miles the Inspired Partnership man of the match.
The Weston win saw them leapfrog Minehead into second place, with Minehead dropping to fourth place.
It leaves Minehead needing to win their final two games, starting with a home match tomorrow (Saturday) against bottom of the table Old Bristolians A.

Minehead A’s winning run in South East Division One came to a halt as they had to settle for a 3-3 draw away to fourth-placed East Devon A.
In an entertaining encounter, Mark Bolton, Calum Arnold and John Clegg were on target for the seasiders, who dropped one place to sixth in the table.
The Inspired Partnership man of the match was Simon Strong.

Minehead B’s chances of escaping relegation from South East Division Two are hanging by a thread after they suffering a 14-1 thrashing away to Chard A.
They are currently 8th in the table and need to win both of their remaining fixtures and hope other results go their way if they are to stand any chance of staying up.
