OAKE Manor Golf Club hosted a Bowmaker Competition for the Pete Litten Trophy.

Pete was a founder member of Oake but unfortunately died during covid. Every year his fellow golfers in the Acorns Golf Group hold a charity competition in his name and this year raised around £5,500 for the Captains Charity, the Alfie Nick Foundation. ,

Forty-four teams of four golfers took part and the winners were Bernard Reed, Mark Rollinson, Stephen Plowman and George Rollinson with 95 points. In second place with 94 points were Robin Trott, Owen Irish, James Symons and Sam Prior while in third place, also with 94 points, were John Blows, Darren Blows, Mark Crouch and Darren Crouch.

Tom Adams won the Sunday Stableford with 45 points, with Liam Willey second with 43 points while Callum Foster was third with 42 points.

The Seniors section held a Bogey Competition on Monday where each player plays match play against the course. Jeff Copp won division 1 scoring +4, 4 up against the course, Steve Cross came second, also +4 while Howard Spear was third on +3. Graham Jones in Division 2 had the best score of the day at +5, Christopher Mann was second on +4 while Colin Shepherd came third on +3.

On Tuesday the Ladies played a Stableford for the Senior Ladies Trophy. Julie Cross who won division 1 with 42 points, Liz How came second with 41 points while Ros Shepherd was third, also on 41 points. Mary Wood won division 2 with 42 points but lost the trophy on countback. Suzie Pitt was second with 38 points and Sheila Grant third, also with 38 points.

On Wednesday there was a 3-Ball Bowmaker for the Fred Land Trophy. Oliver Nott, Ashley Gaines and Callum Vernon won with an excellent 90 points. Peter Male, Clive Large and Christian Hopwood were second, seven points behind,
