OAKE Manor Golf Club have held their annual Husband and Wife Mixed Greesomes Competition for the Jack King Trophy.
Claire Tough and Paul Hadley Jnr had the best score of the day with 47 points while Janet and Paul Howe were second with 44 points and Liz and Mike How came third on 41 points. Because the first two couples did not meet the strict criterion to be able to win the trophy the Jack King Husband and Wife Trophy went to Liz and Mike How.
Liz How was nearest the pin on the 14th hole for the ladies, Paul Hadley was nearest the pin on the 4th hole for the men and Rosemary Webber and Thomas Bordier were nearest the pin in two shots on the 18th hole.
In the Oake Manor golf Club Sunday Stableford, Finley Pyke was the winner, scoring 41 points, the best score of the day. Terry Davies was second in division 1 with 38 points while Keith Cooper came third with 37 points. Nick Putt won division 2 with 40 points with Callum Foster second on 39 points and Martin Ayliffe third, also on 39 points.
In the Seniors section “Order of Merit” Competition, Stephen Wilcox won division 1 with 41 points, the top score of the day, Colin Brown came second with 39 points while Mike Eastmond was third with 38 points. Meredith Collins won division 2, scoring 40 points, Michael Robbins was second with 39 points and Stephen Miller third with 37 points.
Ian Blackwell was the clear winner of the Wednesday Midweek Stableford, scoring 43 points playing off a 3 handicap, Robin Trott came second with 37 points and Simon Dyke was third, also with 37 points. James Macey scored 41 points to win division 2 while Martin Ayliffe was second with 39 points and Eamon Leigh third with 38 points.
