THE Eric Hood Trophy - a medal competition - was played at Oake Manor Golf Club on Saturday.

It was a close competition with Peter Lambert winning the trophy with nett 64, on countback from Ian Loader, also nett 64, with John Whatmough third in division 2 with nett 68. The first five players in division 1 all scored nett 66 but, on countback, David Perry came first with Rob Berry second and Graham McGann third.

James Wilkinson won the Sunday Stableford, scoring 42 points with Richard Shepherd second with 41 points and Martin Rayson third with 39 points.

The Ladies played a Stableford on Sunday for the Ultimate Collection Trophy. Daphne Priddy won the trophy, scoring an excellent 43 points, Ros Shepherd came second with 42 points while Keren Potter was third with 40 points.

The Seniors played a Stableford on Monday for the Roger Clarke Trophy. Division 1 winner David John Matthews won the trophy with 42 points, Glyn Pearce was second with 41 points and Paul Scribbins was third with 40 points. Malcolm Musgrove won division 2 with 41 points with Patrick Francis in second place also with 41 points while Terry Burrow was third on 38 points.

On Tuesday the Ladies held their Annual Invitation Day. Ladies Captain Mary Beakes and her guest Sarah Gamble from Taunton and Pickeridge Golf Club won the day with a superb score of 49 points while Suzanne Ward and Tracey Marshall came second with 47 points and Emma Fitzgerald and Lin Phillips were third with 46 points.

In the Wednesday Midweek Stableford, Chris Yates won division 1 with 40 points, Mark Popham came second with 39 points and Owen Irish came third, also with 39 points.

William Box won division 2 with 41 points Martin Ayliffe was second. also with 41 points. while Tom Richardson was third with 40 points.
