A STRONG field turned out for the Eric Hood Trophy held on Saturday at Oake Manor Golf Club with players enjoying a competitive day on the course.
Robert Urmann and Owen Irish led the way, both posting impressive nett scores of 65 to share top spot. Close behind was Anthony Date with nett 66 followed by Roy Smitheram and Carl Puzey each carding 68. A cluster of players finished one stroke further back with nett 69s including Terry Davies, Sam Prior, Robert Cowburn, Ben Chinn and Charles St George. Congratulations to all the players on a well fought competition and to Robert Urmann, the winner of the Eric Hood Trophy.
John Symonds won the Sunday Stableford at Oake Manor with an excellent score of 44 points, Oliver Beynon came second with 41 points while Simon Hartstone was third with 40 points.
Karen Potter won the Ladies Ultimate Collection Trophy on Sunday with a superb score of 44 points, Patricia Frazer was runner up with 38 points and Rosemary Webber came third, also with 38 points.
In the Ladies Stableford on Tuesday, Rosemary Webber was the overall winner and topped division 1 with 44 points, Kate Foster came second with 43 points while Jenny Musgrove was third with 36 points. Catherine Drysdale was the division 2 winner with 42 points while Linda Sully came second with 38 points and Judy McKellar was third with 36 points.
Jamie Short won the Wednesday Midweek Stableford competition, scoring 41 points off his -1 handicap - well done Jamie. Benn Chinn came second with 39 points and Antony Date came third with 38 points. Duncan Hughes won division 2 with 40 points while Alexander Pearson came second with 39 points and Harry Storry was third with 37 points.
