WATCHET Town AFC have confirmed they will field a reserve side for tomorrow’s (Sat, September 6) home game against Galmington Reserves in the second division of the Taunton Saturday Football League (2.30p.m.).

However, Watchet are continuing to make use of the new clause introduced by the Somerset County League aimed at helping clubs with a shortage of players to prevent possible withdrawals by allowing them to postpone three fixtures in a row.

A Watchet club spokesman said the club was ‘hopeful’ it would be able to field two sides on Saturday, September 13.

Watchet’s first team will be at home to Nailsea United who beat them 9-2 on the opening day of the new season.
