WATCHET Town continue their tough season with two away matches in the Premier Division of the Uhlsport Somerset County Football League over the Easter.

The seasiders, bottom of the table without a point, play ninth-placed Fry Club on Saturday, April 4, and follow this with a game against sixth-placed Stockwood Green on Easter Monday.

Watchet boss Nick Sully said this week: “We have struggled this season to field two sides on a Saturday and had to call off our reserve team match last weekend because we had only 18 players.”

Watchet, who lost 3-0 to Clevedon Utd last Saturday, have won only one match and lost the three points because they called off three successive games earlier this season.

They have three more fixtures after Easter, all on Saturdays: away v Wells City Reserves (April 11), away v Chilcompton Sports (18th) and home v Worle (25th).

Premier Division fixtures, Saturday: Chilcompton Sports v Ashton & Backwell United, Clevedon United v Chard Town, Fry Club v Watchet Town, Nailsea United v Wells City Reserves, Stockwood Green v Congresbury.

Easter Monday: Chilcompton Sports v Chard Town, Clevedon United v Ashton & Backwell United, Congresbury v Wells City Reserves, Staplegrove v Fry Club, Stockwood Green v Watchet Town.

Meanwhile Minehead, who have also not had the best of seasons, have only one game in the first division over the Easter - away to Wrington Redhill on Easter Monday. Their opponents are lying one place below Minehead in tenth spot, six points behind but with four games in hand.

Division One fixtures, Saturday: Burnham United v Sporting Weston, Clutton v Westfield, Imperial v Ashcott, Wrington Redhill v Winscombe.

Easter Monday: Ashcott v Bishop Sutton, Clutton v Sporting Weston, Combe St Nicholas v Keynsham Town Reserves, Wrington Redhill v Minehead.
