WATCHET Town will be looking for a return to action when they play away to Chard Town in the Premier Division of the Uhlsport Somerset County Football League on Saturday, August 16.
Watchet have been on an enforced break after their game last Saturday at Congresbury was called off because of ‘a cracked pitch.’
“It came as no real surprise because Congresbury postponed their game the previous weekend for the same reason,” said the Watchet club’s spokesman Nick Sully.
Watchet have played only one game so far, losing 9-2 away to Nailsea United on the opening day of the season.
Chard have played twice this season, losing 5-2 at home to Fry Club but winning 3-0 away to Worle.
Nailsea and Chilcompton Sports are the early leaders of the division, having taken seven points from their opening three fixtures. Clevedon are lying third, having won their first two matches.
