MINEHEAD will be aiming for back-to-back wins under new boss Lee Todd when they play away to Clutton in Division One of the Uhlsport Somerset County Football League on Saturday, November 15.

Minehead won 3-0 at Glastonbury last Saturday and Todd said: “It was a very good team performance. The back three were solid and did not put a foot wrong.”

Defender Harvey Henderson is unavailable, otherwise Minehead will be fielding very much the same squad. “Obviously, I’ll be bringing in someone for Harvey but otherwise I can’t see much change,” added Todd who has taken over as manager from Craig Carr.

Clutton are lying sixth in the table with 16 points from ten matches, two more than Minehead who have played two more matches.

Peasedown Miners Welfare have a three-point lead at the top over Portishead Town Reserves and Combe St Nicholas who are still unbeaten.

Watchet Town will be going in search of their first victory of the season when they play away to Ashton & Backwell United in the Premier Division. Ashton are lying third in the table and are only four points behind the leaders Nailsea United.

Watchet have lost all nine of the their league matches, the latest being a 4-0 home defeat against Fry Club who scored all their goals in the second half.

Meanwhile, Porlock face a tough away match against Bridgwater Grasshoppers, who have lost only once this season, in the Premier Division of the Taunton Saturday League. Porlock are lying sixth with three wins and three losses.
