MINEHEAD AFC Under 8s has come out as the victors in the first Henry David Cup competition that was hosted by Watchet FC after beating Huish Tigers in the final.

Minehead Pirates went through the competition unbeaten and played some great football on their way.

In the final the Pirates played against Huish Tigers in what turned out too be a very closely matched game. Neither team was able to break the deadlock so the match was decided on a sudden death penalty shoot out, which the Minehead Pirates won.

A huge thank-you goes to to Watchet FC for hosting a fabulous day of football.

Very well done Minehead. This rounds off a great aeason for the Minehead under 8s. The management would like to say a big thank-you to all parents and supporters and to their sponsors and look forward to seeing everyone again next season.
