MINEHEAD play their third successive home game on Saturday, August 22, when Wrington Redhill provide the opposition in the first division of the Uhlsport Somerset County Football League (3p.m.).

The Seasiders were due to play away to Worle last weekend but the match was postponed because of the poor state of the pitch which ‘contained cracks all over it.’

Minehead have collected four points from their opening two league games, winning 1-0 at home to Isle of Wedmore on the opening day of the season and drawing 1-1 against Burnham United in mid-week.

“We will have almost everyone available for Saturday’s game,” said Minehead boss Lee Todd. “At the moment we have a big squad.”

Minehead, however, will be without Sam Heath who has a hip injury and will need at least another week to recover while Tom Barnes is not available until next month.

Meanwhile Watchet Town, who were without a fixture last weekend, are due to play away to Worle but there is a doubt over this match being played because of the state of the pitch.

“We will know more about this later in the week,” said Watchet’s manager Nick Sully. “Obviously, it doesn’t look too promising but there is rain about which will obviously help.”

Watchet, relegated at the end of last season, have played only once this season, losing 4-1 away to Clutton.
