MINEHEAD have swooped to sign three of Alcombe Rovers' players for the new season.
Minehead boss Lee Todd, a former manager of the Taunton Saturday League club, says he has snapped up centre-half Mikey Graddon, left back or winger Cullum Bruford and striker Nathan Collins..
Todd, who took charge of Uhlsport Somerset County League club last October, has not ruled out more signings to strengthen the side.
"I'm still talking to one or two players and waiting back to hear from them," he said this week.
Meanwhile, Minehead are looking to play their first pre-season friendly at home to Jewson Western League premier division side Street on Saturday, July 4 (12.30p.m. kick-off).
Todd added: "At the moment we have a few players away but I'm hoping the game will go ahead. I want to make sure I can field a strong enough squad.
"It is very difficult at this time of the year with holidays and work commitments."
Minehead's line-up of friendlies is: Sat, July 4 home v Street (12.30); Sat July 11 home v Combe Martin (2.00); Wed, July 15 home v Staplegrove (7.30); Sat, July 18 home v Minehead Legends' XI (3.00); Tues, July 21 away v Ilfracombe Town (7.30); Sat, July 25 home v Wellington (3.00); Wed, July 29 home v Bishops Lydeard (7.30).
Minehead finished tenth in the first division of the county league last season, with lack of consistency being their main problem.
Their aim is a return to the Premier Division of the county league and eventually the Jewson League.
Teams in the first division this season are: Ashcott, Burnham United, Clutton, Glastonbury, Imperial, Isle of Wedmore, Minehead, Nailsea United Reserves, Paulton Rovers Sports, Peasedown Miners Welfare, St George Easton in Gordano, Watchet Town, Westfield, Winscombe, Worle, Wrington Redhill.
