MINEHEAD parade four new signings in their squad for the opening match of the season away to promoted Winscombe in the first division of the Uhlsport Somerset County Football League tomorrow (Sat, Aug 9).

Greg Turner makes his debut in goal for Minehead whose squad also includes Felix Faun, Finley Landan and Ollie Morris. Faun is a centre back, while Landan and Morris can play in midfield or defence.

Midfielder Lee Smyth, who has played for such sides as Bridgwater United, Willand Rovers and Street, has also returned to Mineheaad and is included in the squad.

“We’ve given as many players as possible a run-out in warm-up games,” said Minehead boss Craig Carr. “A lot of players have been given a chance.

“Admittedly, it’s going to be a tough game against a side who won the second division last season.”
