MINEHEAD will be looking to end their lean spell when they play at home to Burnham United in the first division of the Uhlsport Somerset County Football League on Saturday, April 19 (3p.m.).

The Seasiders have slipped to tenth in the table after losing their last three matches - against Wrington Redhill, Congresbury and Stockwood Green who occupy three of the top four places in the division.

Minehead will also be looking to avenge a 1-0 away defeat by Burnham in mid-January. Craig Carr has stressed that it was never his intention for the Seasiders to win promotion in his first full season in charge but to improve the quality of the first team squad.

However, Minehead have been hard-hit by injuries this season and have used eight goalkeepers which has made it very difficult to field a settled side.

Watchet Town have completed their fixtures for the season in the Premier Division and are currently fourth from bottom. However, it is not certain whether three will go down and Worle could move above Watchet if they win their two matches in hand which are both away. Worle play second from bottom Timsbury Athletic on Easter Monday and Nailsea United, who are lying fourth in the table, three days later.

Meanwhile, Porlock will be looking to clinch fourth place in the Premier Division of the Taunton & District Saturday League when they play their last game of the season - at home to Stogursey on Saturday, April 19. Porlock have one more point than Bridgwater Wolves, who also have one more fixture to play.

Alcombe Rovers will be hoping to maintain their bid for promotion in Division One when they play away to Wembdon Reserves. Rovers’ hopes suffered a blow last weekend when they lost 3-1 at home to Wellington Reds who have stepped up into second place.
