DULVERTON Town took on North Petherton Reserves and ran out 3-2 winners in Division Two of the Taunton and District Saturday League.

A ball over the top found James Kelland clear to lob the home keeper early on for a great goal, but it was disallowed for offside.

The visitors’ attacking threat continued and soon after they got in behind again and this time Adam Kelland slotted home.

Adam then turned provider when he put James through who knocked the ball neatly past the keeper.

Things changed after the interval and against the run of play the Pethy veteran striker scored with an audacious bicycle kick.

The hosts kept on the pressure and Town keeper Hooper was called into action with several smart saves.

Hooper’s hard work was rewarded when shortly afterwards James Kelland was brought down in the box and his brother Adam slotted home the penalty.

However Pethy weren’t done and even after further top draw saves from Hooper, the hosts pulled a goal back.

For the final 20 minutes long ball after long ball was launched by Pethy but the visitor’s defence held firm and they saw out the game.

Dulverton host Watchet on Saturday, kick off 2.30pm.
