WITH two thirds of the season gone, West Somerset Cricket League continues on Saturday with plenty to play for across the four divisions.
In Division One, second-placed Watchet head to all but relegated Winsford looking to keep the pressure on leaders Kilve who entertain mid-table Bagborough.
Brompton Ralph have a 52-point deficit to make up on third bottom Over Stowey and the two meet at Brompton with the hosts knowing they must win to have any chance of survival.
The other match sees fourth-placed Ashbrittle welcome mid-table East Huntspill.
Just two games are scheduled in Division Two including a crunch clash for Stogumber against bottom side Stoke St Mary.
Stoke are 14 points behind Saturday’s opponents while Stogumber (200) know a win could see them end the day above both Churchinford (216) and Roadwater (226).
Both Stoke and Stogumber will hope for a favour from second-placed Sampford Arundel when they welcome Churchinford.
Sampford Arundel are second on 243 points from their 10 matches and although a maximum of 35 points are available per fixture, they are 138 points adrift of runaway leaders Crowcombe, albeit having played two games less.
Basement side Stoodleigh (157 from 11) have it all to do in Division Three – sitting 43 points behind third bottom Bishops Hull Seconds – before their home clash with promotion-chasing Cutcombe, while second from last Carhampton have a tough task at leaders Hemyock.
Hemyock are 69 ahead of second having played a game more.
Elsewhere, Bishops Hull welcome Ashbrittle Seconds having conceded on Saturday, while Minehead Thirds entertain Cannington.
With Division Four leaders Fitzhead Seconds having no fixture, Buckland St Mary and Bishopswood have the chance to go top when they visit Stoke St Mary Seconds, while the other matches in the division see East Huntspill Seconds and Over Stowey Seconds both at home as they take on their Wiveliscombe and Brompton Ralph counterparts respectively.
