FORMER Minehead and Watchet Town manager Avril Cooke is considering her options for next season and is in 'no hurry' to come to a decision.

She said today (Wed): "I have had contact with some clubs since I left Watchet. There have been suggestions but nothing specific. I want to take my time.

"I have had some contact with the Somerset FA about protecting football at grassroots level. It would primarily be a administrative role.

"It's always something I have been interested in. It's something which I would like to do but not necessarily now."

She added: "I probably could go back to women's football and I have in the past talked to Bishops Lydeard."

Cooke parted company with Watchet at the end of last season by 'mutual consent' after the West Somerset club were relegated to the first division of the Uhlsport Somerset County League.

It was her first season at Watchet after previously been in charge of Minehead.

Watchet have since announced a first team management team of Aaron Deeks, Matt Heywood and stalwart Nick Sully as they bid to get back into the Premier Division. Training sessions - on Tuesdays and Thursday - begin at the Memorial Ground next week.
