Minehead Tesco customers help charities feed thousands of families over Christmas Club members head out into the cold for three nights each year, and last year they raised £1,445.50 for the Spinal Unit at Musgrove Park Hospital.
This year the money raised will be split between the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance and the Farming Community Network (FCN), a charity and voluntary organisation which supports farmers and their families through difficult times and the club is keen to raise awareness.
The club will be carol singing on December 19, 20 and 21.
Before that, it will be holding its annual fundraising hockey match in memory of Henry Bissel. It will take place on Minehead’s beach at 2pm on December 10 with the theme Turkeys and Tinsel, and any support would be welcome.
