SIR — We are planning our entry into this year's Watchet Carnival and wondered if we could make a request to your readers.

We are the holiday and after-school club at Knights Templar School in Watchet and are looking for coloured or stripey flannelette sheets to make part of our costumes and any odd balls of wool so that the children can make pom-poms.

If anyone is able to help, please could items be brought to the school in Liddymore Road, Watchet.
