A 70-year-old woman from Minehead was killed in a car crash on the A358 Bishops Lydeard junction shortly before 7am yesterday morning (Wednesday, April 27).
Sally Eveleigh was travelling along the A358 towards Taunton in a Toyota Aygo when it was in a collision with a Vauxhall Vivaro at the junction.
Traffic was diverted through the village and there were long delays while emergency services were at the scene.
The police are appealing for witnesses to contact collision investigators on 101, quoting reference CI-78-16-1053.
