A WOMAN had to fight off a man who grabbed her in a car park in Dulverton just before 8.30pm on Thursday, October 3.

The victim had been getting into her car in the Lion Stables car park off High Street when the man approached her from behind and grabbed her arm.

She kicked out and managed to break free before jumping into her car and driving away.

A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Constabulary said the woman was shocked but otherwise unhurt.

The spokesman added: "There is no known motive for the assault and nothing was stolen."
