A WOMAN has died in hospital after attending a music event in Minehead last Friday.
The 47-year-old was taken ill in the town in the early hours of the morning and died in Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton on Sunday.
She was staying in Minehead and went to Butlin's holiday centre with a group of friends for the annual Southport Weekender music festival.
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Constabulary said the woman was not believed to be from the local area.

"We would urge anyone with any information regarding this incident to contact us immediately on 101.
"Our thoughts remain with the woman's family."
A spokesman for Butlin's said the woman was not staying at the holiday complex and had been seen on CCTV entering the resort with around 20 people at around 11pm.
She did not appear to be in any distress or difficulty when she left at 3.45am, according to the CCTV footage.
Paramedics were called to the seafront area of the town and she was taken to hospital.
The Butlin's spokesman said a medical team had been on standby during the event and there had been no other major issues over the weekend.
"We are aware of the death of a 47-year-old woman but none of our staff at the event were made aware that she had any difficulties.
"We had 5,400 guests at the weekend, there were first aid teams on standby and they were not involved in this incident or any others.
"The woman was not staying on site and we have CCTV of her entering the resort at 11pm with a group of people and leaving at 3.45am.
"She doesn't appear to be any difficulty and neither her or her partner raised any concerns with our staff when they were on site," the spokesman said.
