MEMBERS of Williton Young Farmers Club (YFC) raised a record amount from their Christmas season charity carol singing tour.

The young farmers went out in the local farming community for four nights to raise funds to support two charities, Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance and Exmoor Search and Rescue Team.

A spokesperson said: “We did incredibly well, and had our club record of £2,500, which will be split between them both.

“We would like to say a big ‘thank you’ to everybody who opened their doors very generously.

“Members definitely had a few amazing nights and cannot wait for next year.”

The YFC, which is a member of Somerset Federation of Young Farmers Clubs, supports young people aged 10 to 28 years in and around the Williton area.
