COWBOY hats and cap guns were all the rage in Stogumber at the weekend when villagers staged their own Wild West Bonanza.

While the main festivities took place on the village field, residents were given a taste of things to come with a spot of lunchtime line dancing in the village square.

Young guns had a chance to test their skills on a bucking bronco, while others just opted to tuck into the traditional American food on offer.
