I was amazed at the person who took the trouble to drive up the back road to Selworthy to leave a microwave just behind the National Trust sign at the entrance to the woods, where so many people enjoy walking their dogs.

Surely it would have been just as easy to drive to the recycling centre, where there is no charge and they are so helpful, instead of defacing the countryside.

But maybe I am out of touch and the deer are now into microwave dinners.
