TWO West Somerset businesses and a charity won major awards last Friday at the 2019 Somerset Business Awards, seeing off stiff competition from finalists across the county.
Nearly 400 business people attended a gala event to see Shearwell Data Limited of Wheddon Cross; Singer Instruments of Roadwater and Watchet-based charity Elliot’s Touch win their categories.
The black-tie evening was organised by Somerset Chamber of Commerce and hosted by Somerset cricket legend Peter Trego.
Shearwell Data Limited won both the Family Business of the Year award, sponsored by Albert Goodman, and the Somerset Manufacturer and Producer Award, sponsored by Bibby Financial.
Singer Instruments, of Roadwater, won the Employer of the Year award.
