THE West Somerset Free Press will be back in Williton from Monday for the first time since a fire forced the closure of our main offices there.
We are moving into Becket House in Bridge Street, which will be our temporary home until our Long Street offices have been refurbished.
Since the fire in mid-March, all of our advertising, production and accounts staff have been working at our branch office in Minehead.
And editor Gareth Purcell and deputy editor Sara Mace have been based at the office of our sister paper the Wellington Weekly News, while reporters Tony James and Sue Mitchinson have been working from an office in Watchet and from home, respectively.
From Monday, our Minehead office will revert to a base for some of our advertising staff and a drop-off point for reports, letters and adverts.
And all our editorial, production and accounts staff, together with members of the advertising team, will work at Becket House, which is also the home of the Williton Registration Office.
Our thanks go to all those who have helped us and borne with us through a difficult time, and we are delighted that after more than three months we are now able to offer something much closer to our normal service for readers and advertisers, with a presence in both Minehead and Williton.
Our office at Becket House, which you’ll find next door to the Croft House care home, will be open from 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
Your can contact us there on 01984 632731, or our Minehead office on 01643 702187.
And our email addresses remain the same – [email protected] for all editorial matters and [email protected] for advertising.
We look forward to seeing you at our new Williton home.
