SIR — We must all feel sorry for the congregation of St Stanilaus in Dulverton at their disappointment over changes to the method of financial encouragement of photovoltiac energy generation (Your Letters, May 28).
There is an attractive deal for householders to install this equipment, provided that they have a suitable roof and the spare cash to invest.
If enough solar energy is generated it might ward off the worst effects of climate change, which should be the prime object.
The Energy Saving Trust may be consulted for impartial advice. Also, there is an electricity provider that will pay for every unit produced, this regardless of when the kit was installed. Try Good Energy.
