THE Onion Collective is organising another morning of clearing and planting at the Rope Walk garden on Saturday (March 4).

It is hoped to get the area – the patch of land between the railway track and the Harbour Road car park – spruced up before Easter.

The Community Bookshop has given a grant to pay for plants, so participants will be able to help decide what will work best there.

Anyone who has spare compost, with no perennial weeds in it, manure or top soil, ideas or time to spare, is asked to turn up between 9am and midday, bringing forks and gloves.
