AWARDS were presented at Watchet Town Meeting in the Methodist Schoolroom this week.

The Millington Shield, for a group that has given excellent service to the community, was made to Anne Harrison of Watchet Community Cinema, and the Best Shop Shield was awarded to Bernadette Langdon, owner of Clather.

The meeting, organised by Watchet Town Council and attended by around 40 residents, heard reports from chairmen of committees and from community organisations.
