YOUNG people of all ages turned out in force for Watchet Carnival Club's annual carnival queen competition and family disco.
The judges faced a tough task shortlisting the entries and after much deliberation crowned 17-year-old Natasha Thrush as carnival queen, with Kelsey Duffield, aged 13, as her attendant.
The princes were named as Jaydn Nunn and Brandon Perkins, with Maisy Pearson and Jodie Prescott as princesses.
The 'royal family' will take pride of place during Watchet's carnival celebrations and parade on Sunday, July 26.
The contest was held in Watchet's Royal British Legion Club and was supported by the Glenmore Café and Co-Operative supermarket.
Organisers thanked the judges and supporters who donated raffle prizes, as well as the town's young people for taking part in the competition.
