SATURDAY saw Watchet II travel to Weston to play Belvedere II and won by 87 runs.
Invited to bat, Watchet lost their first wicket with the score on 31 when Chris Wookie was bowled for 18.
Fellow opener Anthony Powis was out three overs later, but Fred Powis and skipper Pete Manley scored freely until Powis was bowled in the 19th over with the score on 83.
When Manley was out for 53 he and Paul Jones had added 80 for the fourth wicket.
Matt Lovell, Dave Milton and Jones (33) all then contributed to Watchet's biggest total of the season, 247 all out.
Belvedere lost an early wicket when Huxtable was caught off and then Virgin removed the dangerous Stalley with a direct throw from 40 yards.
Lovell took further wickets and Nigel Merrick joined the attack to take three wickets, including Belvedere's top scorer W Hind (53).
Virgin added another catch and a run out to cap a fine fielding display and when Lovell claimed the last wicket the home side were all out for 160.
