WATCHET put their worst run of six straight defeats behind them with a hard earned draw away to Peasedown St John.
Liam Woolgrove claimed an early wicket in a lively opening spell but a solid fourth wicket stand of 80 between Simon Wilkinson and Neil Offer put Peasedown in control.
Norman Yaw bowled Wilkinson for 38 and then claimed two more quick wickets in a spell of 3-45 and when Andy Pynne trapped Offer lbw for 79 Watchet had hopes of keeping Peasedown's score to about the 200 mark but Burgess and Plumber hit out putting on 50 runs in the last six overs.
Neil Kontradowicz then ripped out the Watchet top order in a spell of ten overs taking 4-13 as Watchet were reduced to 30-4 from 20 overs.

Woodward was caught in the deep for an excellent 49 but Strong carried on and passed his half century to finish undefeated with a hard hit 85.
If Watchet had bowled or fielded as well as earlier games they may well have won this fixture but were pleased their losing run had been stopped.
