DANESFIELD Middle School student Jodie Prescott was crowned Watchet’s carnival Queen in a “coronation” on Saturday (June 17).

The ceremony took place at the Royal British Legion Club and 12-year-old Jodie will head this year’s carnival parade through the town on July 30.
Carnival judges chose Sophie Hooper as queen’s attendant, Summer Mitcham and Erika Isaacs as princesses and Jack Sutton and Harley Williams as princes.
