WATCHET residents are to have a say on the fate of the town council building when the authority moves to its new home in the Boat Museum extension, councillors decided this week.

A questionnaire with suggestions for possible future uses for the building will be delivered to all houses in the town from next week (February 15-20).

“It’s important to ask the people of Watchet what they want for the future of the council building,” said chairman Cllr Peter Murphy at the council’s meeting on Monday.

In addition two consultation events will be held - on March 15-16 - in the council chamber.
