LOUDLESS sunshine, bigger crowds, more entries, top entertainment and fun for everyone – it all happened in Watchet on Sunday.
The town’s carnival, organised by Watchet Live, celebrated its 40th anniversary with one of the most successful events in its history.
“After last year’s dreadful weather, we deserved a bit of luck – and we got it,” said Jackie Bale, a director of Watchet Live.
“We estimate there were at least 3,000 people cheering us on – The Esplanade and main streets were jam-packed – and there was a real carnival atmosphere.
