STOWEY Walking group has received the national ‘Walkers Are Welcome’ accreditation for the villages of Nether Stowey and Over Stowey.
And the achievement was celebrated with a reception for councillors, supporters and sponsors in the Quantock Tea Room, Nether Stowey, on Monday November 21.
Chairman of Stowey Walking, Lynne Abbot presented ‘Walkers are Welcome’ certificates of accreditation to Over Stowey Parish Council chairman Cllr Richard Curtis and to Malcolm Reid, on behalf of the chairman of Nether Stowey Parish Council.
There are now seven towns and villages in Somerset and over 100 in the national Walkers are Welcome network.
