A 'UNIQUE and magical' gong bath session is being held in Roadwater on Friday, February 10.

The event is being hosted by husband and wife Reuben and Manjula Coté, who run Explore Exmoor, which provides holistic therapies and experiences.

The couple have lived in West Somerset for six years, and presently reside in Roadwater.

Reuben said: "A gong bath is a sound therapy - I use gongs and singing bowls and other things. I and my wife create a soundscape to relax. You lie down and listen to soothing sounds for an hour.

"The percussion helps you relax and unwind and puts your brain in a semi-sleep state.

"My Wife performs poetry and meditation at the gong bath so it is not an ordinary gong bath.

"People describe the gongs as waves coming and going. It is a physical and psychological experience."

Manjula said: "Gong baths are a fabulous way to wake up the energies and shake off the sluggishness of winter.

"Each gong bath we offer is a unique and magical experience.

"A gong bath is a pure act of receiving. The only thing you have to do is lie down and get comfortable - or you can sit if you prefer."

Attendees at the village hall on Friday are advised to bring a blanket and a pillow. Admittance for the hour is £12.

Further gong baths are set to take place at Watchet Methodist Hall and Bicknoller Village Hall.
