YOUNGSTERS at Cutcombe and Timberscombe First Schools took a few more steps along their eco status journey at a special 'green' day.
The schools, which make up the Beacon Federation, staged the event on their individual campuses, taking part in a range of activities.
Timberscombe has already achieved a bronze award in its Eco Schools bid, while Cutcombe has reached silver.
The special day included a visit from the Somerset Waste Action Programme team, who staged a 'Fantastic Plastic' workshop at both schools and also run a composting session at Timberscombe.
